I hope it's ok to offer a different idea, I normally luv cats of all types, but in your image I would leave the kitty out and add one of those glowing spheres instead, and bam, a 'super fine' Bakapo duo image...

when I first saw this, I thought it was more in the "Alice" series, until I looked closely and saw that Alice isn't anywhere in this. But what made me think that was the super sense of play mixed with formality and whimsy, etc. These ladies/elves/spirits could be models out of a busby berkely film, ready to jump into a huge pool. Then again, they could be figures from a 1930s painting from the European surrealists. And then, they are a chess-player's ultimate avant-garde vision of a chess match. You only have a couple of chess pieces, but the board, and how the board is all over these two women, suggests chess as seen by 1930s and 1940s abstractionists. I love the poses---something out of dance and mime combined. And that cream-like patina you got in the whites---love it. (I was gonna say "boffo!" I have no idea why! Sometimes my inner 1940s hollywood PR guy comes out in me...) The teacup and pot, along with the balls, make it like a very special breakfast. And, since the models have a very feline feeling, I think the cat belongs totally. (You got a comment that suggested the cat doesn't...I respect the thought, but I sense a strong feline sense throughout this image, and a cat seems right at home in it.)
Terrific work, love the poses, and more of your packing a whole world into a relatively small space. This really has 'performance' written all over it.
