My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

Such nice composition and lighting. And using the silhouetting technique is always cool:)

I like how Bill is silhouetted against these interesting arches. I am always in awe at how they got the bricks to stay up there as they built them. A beautiful capture of light and shade.

Fantastic scene...

Fabulous capture of your hubby and all the arches, including the ones on the deck

I really like the patterns that those white irregular patches make with the bricks, as well as the quality of the light in this shot.

Interesting information, thanks for the link. Your treatment here makes Bill look almost spectral.

You have such a knack for lighting --- I love seeing things thru your eyes!!

I find the architecture here quite interesting. Then add the light and the whole place becomes alive. I wonder what the semi-circular floors are all about? Having Bill in the photo gives a good idea of size. Interesting how you both like the same structure but for completely different reasons! This gave me a chuckle. Keep up the good work! :-)

I don't need the link, , and love the photo, but like TRex I need to know what those lines in the floor are!

As usual your skill with composition shines through, Tara! The way you'v silhouetted Bill in the photo is wonderful, and give this shot a real sense of awe. And the lighting - you've captured it beautifully. This is wonderful!

Love this shot with arches and Bill :)

first, you got guts allowing that big slab of very dark flooring to dominate the whole bottom 6th of the shot: It makes a frame for the piece, and a needed visual punctuation mark. Secondly, I love how you silhouetted Bill, esp as we glimpse his glasses from behind. He's perfect there, seeming to walk with the circle on the floor. Third, you should call this "our guest bathroom," or (better) "bill's walk-in closet". I don't know why, I just like the idea. Fourth (come on---bill's walk-in closet? that's a great f__kin' idea!)---Fourth, your handling of shadow and light is masterful as always, esp as the arches are surrounded by shadow on both sides, and cast plenty in between. The whites on the bricks stand out as wonderful accents too, as if they were painted there for that very purpose. Filled with mystery and invitation, a wonderful shot of this strange geometric space, wIth those circles on the ground (for guns, right?) making it even more geometric and strange...
