Captured 5/1/18, if I could only remember where. I do remember that it was part of a pile of trash.

Now why in the world would anyone abandon these---in a pile of trash, yet? These look like good shoes, Harry! (Or sandals.) There must be some very picky people out in your city. In any case, the contrasts of white with that black, and the rich orangey insole, is beautiful. And it has one of your characteristic finely-textured sidewalks. Love that texture (I associate it with you). I just find these very compelling. And man, if you put all the abandoned shoes you've captured into a book, they'd make quite an impact. (And they'd raise the question: Do LA people all walk barefoot??? Do they break out in rashes from shoes??? Really---if you made a collection of all these shots, they'd make a pretty monumental impact.) Love the shots.

I ask the same question. They dont at all look worn out. Excellent capture again. MAN! you could have opened a second hand... or rather second foot shop, had you brought them all home

Fascinating shot of these not-too-badly worn shoes. Looks like these could have been in service for a while longer.
