I have to admit, in a photo, he's pretty in his own little way, and it's a great photo. But ... in real life ... I would back away, because I never know (rarely anyway) when a spider is dangerous or not. (been bitten by Black Widows twice).

heavy comment from Boni---being bitten by a black widow twice is no laughing matter. And yet, there's Andrea calling this spider a "cutie". Well, spiders are goddesses of deep wisdom in many Native American cultures, so they carry a great deal of dignity with them. You say 8 year ago? I remember you posting lots of insects, years back---around the time I first came here---and so this photo feels familiar. You caught it's rounded abdomen perfectly, and that big bokeh'd flower is a perfect place for it to rest. Beautiful work, Helle.
