I've driven right through Cheyenne many times on my way back and forth to North Dakota! One of these times, I must stop and take a closer look! Fine photo, Richard!

This looks like it's empty - a shame to not use this wonderful Victorian building. Great shot, Richard!

I wonder if the Air Force base is still active there. My dad was stationed there in the late 50s.

There are many buildings in and around the Poughkeepsie area in NY. Some unfortunately are very run down. Great shot!

don't know if you ever saw the old tv show "Gene Shepherd's America"...it was in the 60s. Shepherd was one of the genuine crusty, honest tale-tellers about America; he came from the shores of Lake Michigan (the indiana side), had great tales of his dad, and his life as a child---incl his time in the steel mills---and took all that history to his radio and tv shows. His photography directors had none of your quality, but he told a tale with each new town; and your old town shots remind me of him. In one show, he rolled into Cheyenne, looked around, and said: "Cheyenne---what a name for a town!" (The fact that it was named for a Native peoples---well, I don't know if he even understood that. He just loved the name and loved the feel of the place...)

Another of your direct, honest, old facade shots. With lots of empty road, and a feeling that you always manage to catch these places just after everyone left. I love the clarity of these shots...with a big open sky, and bare trees. And the orange really shouts in this shot. I wish it were wall size...
