Description

Another character from "Alf Layla wa Layla" (the 1001 Nights). Marjanah (sometimes westernised to Morgiana) was a slave girl in the house of Ali Baba, where her sharp witted resourcefulness saved him from death at the hands of the 40 thieves on more than one occasion. At the climax of the story, the leader of the thieves enters the house masquerading as a merchant, who is then invited to dinner. She recognises him and under the pretext of performing a sword dance for the honored guest, dispatches him adroitly. Ali Baba is initially horrified at the murder of his guest, but when the truth is revealed, he grants Marjanah her freedom in thanks, and she marries his son. I have echoed some of the feel of my earlier picture of Shahrazad here, as it is infact her recounting the tale and there is always something of the teller in the tale! Done in DS3 using the Motion Master plugin for the thrown dagger.
