My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

What a great location. To spend eternity in the middle of a patch of woods must give solace to the soul.

Amazing! and what a history!
(I had a huge problem with the word, 'Symbology' in the text. We say symbolism in this context. anything 'ology' usually means 'the study of...') Two nations divided by a single language!

That’s what it means here, too. Whoever wrote that probably thought they were being fancy. It SHOULD be “symbolism.”

Amazing and beautiful and also a bit creepy. Pitty people can´t leave it alone. Have to distroy things.

I read the article. It's sick that not even a grave is safe from vandals.

Ah, what an image...the play of light and shadows...the tall, stately evergreens embracing the family's final resting place. The striking blue sky. This speaks to me. What a feel this has.

(I'm just waiting for you or bill to finally pan each other's shots: "I almost puked..."; "use shadow much???" or, "how is it I got a reeeeallly great shot of this, and you came up with this???" I'd pay you to pull that off before I die...) Ok, I'm with bill 100%, and a bunch of others above: Love the play of shadow, and many different lights here too. And the mausoleum columns have the most beautiful bright light---maybe they built it to catch the light (as various sacred sights do, across the world) (I didn't read the readout on this, only for lack of time, not lack of interest). And a big tree in front as if to say this is sacred ground and one doesn't pass without a reason. Beautiful, and best full size.
(And re symbology---you and Andrea: The proper term is "symbolmentification".) (that's not funny or interesting...I have no idea why I wasted your time...)

Well, it certainly looks like a place that would be haunted. Great photo, Tara. It certainly captures the solemn atmosphere. I'll have to take a peek at that website.
