My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

This is just magnificent, Tara! No loss of detail in either the light areas or shadows - outstanding!
I think I tried Flickr some time ago.... didn't care for it at all. Sounds like a real PITA to work with. I'm concentrating on Adobe Stock and Shutterstock - and I really need to put a lot more stuff up in both places.

Ooooh, I'll have to find some photo to try buzsim on. I really like this. The depth, the light, the shadows all show up in such an atmospheric way. So, Fort Jefferson next year?

this is a wonderful photo, the lighting is excellent. Flickr can be confusing.

Your Flickr story is so familiar, but then you KNOW how things work for me!!! I think I might have an account there, but haven't looked in ages. Anyway, back to things I understand----your foto is so, so beautiful!! You have that way with light and shadows and it calls me. Another beautiful shot!!

I've never been to flicker, can't help you. My idea of organized photos is tossing them in a shoebox.

I'll check you out on flickr. I know a number of our RR friends are there. I used to be a member, but let it lapse...(hey, if you leave rr forever, I'll have to go into seclusion and become a hermit). I imagine people coming here the first time have to learn the ropes too. Anyway, I wish you all the best with it, and hope you get new fans...that's always a big boon!
This is splendid. Love the deep flesh-peach hues, and the deep shadows, even where there is light. Love the contrast of deep shaded arches with lighter ones. And the sense of succession (of arches). And the decay---yet your filter flattens a lot of the surfaces, so the decay seems even more unusual (it stands out). You did a great job on this, where the cannon is all black, like a mysterious beast from another age---which is what it is. Terrific work, Tara.

A glorious evocative image, and the colours make me want to eat it...such a nuisance this Synesthesia !
The banner business at Flickr has always been the trickiest part. and I've never heard of the buddy button...

Such a wonderful arch shot. Love it and the deep brown colors add to this beautiful place.

Just look at this lovely image and breath. Everything will be fine. And thank you for the warning. At this point I do not even have a camera other than a poor quality phone camera. I have not posted in a long time and I barely comment because I try not to spend too much time here when I should study, but I still look and like and save favs. If I ever get a camera again I will stay away from flickr.

Outstanding image. And with a certain symbolism too. All bright colors and light and then the weapon of war, the caisson, is in the shadows. Almost mournful.

Great capture and postwork
