Description

Friday Harbor Marina San Juan Island Stuff lying around a marina is always fascinating to me. I've cropped this two ways. Once to show you the way the rope was piled on the dock, and another to show you the details of the rope.

OK, maybe not one giant worm but an orgy of worms. But you are right, the patterns are fascinating.

It is even more snake-like here. These braided ropes relax very differently to the twisted ones. I have a friend who would freak out if she saw this !

Wonderful details - a very intricate rope. It looks almost new, or at least very well cared for. Great eye and shot, Tara!

the details were beautifully present in the first shot too, but here we get to dive in to the micro level. A beautiful piece of weaving, and tight; and your shot has the same vivid light and strong darks---here with pebbles much more visible---as the 1st shot. Two very electric shots. And this one makes one think this rope goes on forever...Fine work on both!
