Took this shot yesterday. I is standing freely, because the deer dont eat these :-) Have a beautiful day/evening. We have had changing weather today and just now at 9 pm it is 18 degrees and the sun is shining.

Your crop puts the flower right in our faces. It has some of the presence of a sunflower, only much subtler. And I love that deep orange. You captured the pollen dust and other residue on the flower, which is wonderful to see. The image is quite beautiful and even sedate, because of the quiet deep oranges, which give it an air of 'privacy' and introspection. And your "in its face" crop makes it dominate our space. It's as if you handed a microphone to a flower, and it sang an aria for you.
