Description
A dignified bunch, aren't they?
Some of my oldest cartoons, originally posted in 1622. (It was a few years back...)
A few are homages to the great Saul Steinberg and George Booth. But most are my crazy drawings, thrown together with no rhyme or reason...
They thank you for looking!

Delightful and fun work! Just love all of your cartoons

These are wonderful! Simple but with so much expression. I love the one with the dog eying the bird.

LOL! I can look at them over and over again. Cant understand how you can express so much with so few lines. ADORE THEM ALL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

too funny and too cute, that's what this bunch is. they would be so much fun at a back yard BBQ party. the naked guy is already for the skinny-dipping part.

After perusing this outstanding display of drawings I wonder why I even try to compete with anything on Renderosity. With a few deft lines you have surpassed and sent to the dust bin of history all ancient, medieval, Renaissance, neoclassic, deco, modern, old masters, etc., forms of art, Mark.

I just love perusing these delightful drawings, Mark. As others have said, you have a real knack for expression and humor in a few well-placed lines! I always get a giggle out of these.
You should really etch these into a big chunk of limestone, or a cave wall somewhere - just think of the fun when some future archeologist 5000 years from now tries to decode these. LOL

when I was young I was interested in drawing cartoons, back when it was still done by hand.
your work brings back memories

Your cartoon work is fun and quite original. I really like them. I think you are missing a bet. I'm sure someone would be interested in making art prints of some of these. Check out the work of Richard Stine.

With your odd imagination and drawing skills I think you could have a winner. I'd certainly buy a few prints.

I have always loved your big-eared dachshund. It's amazing when you use only a few lines that give my brain enough information to say, "dog," but it's brilliant when you use those same lines and provide my brain with the BREED of dog!
(Who is the mysterious commentor between Mark and I? No picture, and no name?? And clicking on the profile takes me to the main page. Is the CIA finally infiltrating Renderosity for some nefarious purpose? And why do you know this person? And how can you leave a comment on someone who has no identity?)
