(Please zoom---it's big!)
That title means nothing---I'm just making up stuff! For those who don't quite 'get' these 'maps' of mine---I understand: So know, they're just me playing around, making art out of graphs, maps, data and charts. I love them as 'art'...
------------
I'm stepping away again, after a wonderful stint here; and you've all been so terrific to me, it's very hard to leave. I'll be back soon. I'll probably show up for dedis---but if I'm late, it's only because of schedule. I'll be finishing my physical therapy, and submitting more writing to the market. I've gotten about 30 letters of interest from editors: A very good sign. It'll be another several months before I hear a second time---you can't imagine how slow the literary market is---but I'm plugging away.
And of course, I'll be helping my sister (with her cancer). She's doing very well, I'm happy to say.
Two more images follow.
Thanks for your terrific visits!

It's beautiful! I love the colors and all the notations and lines, whether they mean anything or not. Remember to take care of yourself as you help your sister and wait for the Literary world to catch up.

I have always loved your maps, Mark. They are special and always interesting to see. This included, but I didnt know you have been in the underworld too. I see this as a map of the world... AND the underworld :) Love it !!!!!!!!
Yes I never find time to paint these days and I have schedules too and I might take a break myself. BTW.!.. One of these days I will receive my new little car, which will be mine alone :)

these always look so mysterious and I'm sure they lead to treasures of some kind. the bits of code writing and colors and images all look real and what a true treasure map would look like. does X ever mark the spot?
I'm glad your sister is doing well. take care and good luck with the real writing.

Mark, you've taken cartography and tomography to a new level with this elegant swellegant concept of a map, although sort of pre Columbus or Ferdinan Magellan style, I would wager. Maybe it's the lost civilization of Atlantis when it was above water. Nice veinwork and inverted style in this. All that's missing are some isobars and dragons lurking in the sea. And good luck in your professional writing aspirations.

This is such a wonderful meld of form, graphics, linework, form and color, Mark! It has a the look of something Lara Croft might discover in a dusty attic somewhere.
Hope you enjoy your break as much as possible, buddy. We'll save your seat for when you return!

Good news about your sister. There is so little good news these days so thanks for the update. I agree with the others. I have always liked your maps. Colorful and a bit mysterious. I imagine they would go well with some of your stories of other worlds.

If you told me this is a actual scientific paper I would believe you. It is Art for sure. Hope everything goes well Mark.

I adore these "maps" of yours. They're always so inspiring! Of course I'm always energized to try my hand at something similar, but by the time I've finished commenting and whatnot, somehow I'm too tired to start something new. :P Maybe this time! :) I love the collage effect and, in this one, the 3-d mountains. Fabulous!

I know this is nowhere. But I see it as Australia with the Great Barrier Reef offshore to the northeast. That's my story and I'm sticking to it:) A beauty, Mark...
