The end of a beautiful bloom. But, the pod is lovely in its own way. How pretty is that "crown"! Hope you will let it mature so it can "go to seed".

Yeah, this is a wonderful shot, Barb. (I'm back for just a few comments over the next week or so.) The flower is so primal in this state, and you caught the scraggly leftover tentacles on bottom, the powdered sugar top, the striated stem, and the feeling that this flower is one primal beast just sitting there refusing to go. I love the series (this flower), and that you captured it right to its rough hewn end. Fine photography, Barb, and a killer chunk of flower-dom.
