there are old forts along the Gulf Coast, but all the cannons are gone. both are outstanding captures. when I visit historic places, I try and imagine the people that was there

I have friends who do reenactments of historical Civil War events, complete with woolen clothing during Summer heat.
Although ANYTHING, especially Southern Civil War monuments, may be considered "racist", remember that until 1850 ... women and chirren (sic) were considered property by northern and Southern households.
