My uncle had a Chevy like this one, rode in it many times. It had the "Blue Flame" 6 cylinder engine with "splash lubrication", which meant the pistons splashing up and down in the oil pan is how the engine got its lubrication to other parts of the engine. It didn't have forced lubrication from a pump like cars now, but it worked pretty good.
