This started out as an exercise in improving my portrait lighting, and getting a better handle on Iray in general. I had recently picked up Gemma for G3F by DemonicaEvilius and Silver at Daz3D, and decided to use her as the starting point for that purpose. I think she is a phenomenal character, the creators did a great job. I find her to be particularly suited to modern glamour, so the theme tended to move in that direction. I don't usually do straight pinups/glamour (I've created some renders that would qualify, but usually there's something more going on than "hey, look at me, I'm hot!") And I don't usually use characters as-is without a lot of dial spinning, either. But in this case I wanted to let the character be herself with only minimal adjustments. I'm fairly happy with the lighting, and most of the materials (except the hair, I wasn't focusing my efforts on that but probably should have given it a little more attention). I also got in some dForce practice on the robe, and I spent a lot of time on pose, expression, and camera angle. But I welcome any suggestions for improvement, particularly in making the materials and lighting more convincing. Daz Studio > Iray > Photoshop
