I have never had pizza for breakfast before and Nona (Guido's Mama) has never seen anyone eat pizza with a knife and fork before. My trip to Italy is just starting to get interesting, Guido told me his mother does not speak any English at all and is nearly blind and deaf ... But as Guido is outside chopping some more wood for his mothers old wooden stove I discovered that this is not true. Nona can speak a little English, It is not the best but it is enough for her to tell me a few interesting things. It seems that for many months now Guido has been acting strange and suspicious and Nona is becoming concerned ... "He comes home very late often" Nona tells me "And some nights he does not come home at all, He does not allow visitors to the house anymore and wont allow me to even read the mail that is delivered, I know he is a good boy, But I feel he is hiding something from me." I do not say much, I just listen to Nona and her concerns, It is hard for me to known the situation, After all Nona looks to be in good health, But her mind is surely slipping, Pizza for breakfast, She is only dressed in a coat that is open at the front and is some what disturbing when she stands in front of you and she wears hair curlers day and night.
