Boo!
Legends, surprises, new lens and SUN! I know shock.....
Almost every shock this sharp, so the F-35 looked great....yeah thats right an F-35!!??
These are Curtiss fighters, from the bottom up;
Curtiss P-40C Warhawk,
Curtiss Hawk 75 (French scheme - only airworthy in world), and;
Curtiss P-40F Warhawk.
All based at Duxford and owned by The Fight Collection. Its been 50 years since the epic film The Battle Of Britain was filmed and mostly based at Duxford (remember the hanger being blown up - the American Air Museum is there now), they had 4 Buchons (Spanish 109's), flying, all flew during the film and 3 Spitfires that were also stars.
Oh! And also a DC-6! Yeah really.

A superb calendar shot and there is nothing like this flight of Curtiss fighters in the world! Thanks so much, Rob. The P-40F used a RR Merlin engine.

Awesome shot, Rob!

Excellent well spaced capture of these immortals. Didn't the British call the P-40 the Kittyhawk?

So very glad to see you back with your great airplane pictures. It's been almost a year, I believe. I thought you might want to know that I was actually thinking about you a month or so ago over here across the pond as you say, and wondering why you weren't posting any more pictures. l surmise it was because you've had some kind of grief that burdened your heart and soul. I'm sorry for that. Give God's grace and love a chance to fill that hole and remove that burden. He's always there for all of us. Offer prayer and have faith. God Bless You.

almost to tame to see the wing warping sent off and ailerons featured. Yeah, Curtiss, that's what I am saying.
