Description
This shot, was captured at unbelievably, Flying Legends 2018.
RIAT (Royal International Air Tattoo) was on the same weekend, and as they 'borrowed' a Spitfire and Mustang, the awesomely named 'Hun Hunter/ Texas', for their Heritage Flight, a return effort was made.
So, struggling to fly at 200mph, the flight arrived. (Photo is incoming). Then, job done the afterburner opened up and the car alarms went off...
Don't ask (coz I don't know) how I got such clear shots, Sun maybe? And these aren't the best!
News ; booked the last Duxford show. Battle Of Britain Show / RAF 100. All current RAF aircraft will be attending or at making flypasts, including yes, ANOTHER Lightning II (RAF this time). Note also, it will be last time I'll see flying Tornados and Pumas. Our government is retiring them, before their time again but I'll not start again.
So, enjoy and I will return. Thanks for mails and greetings. I return them to you all.
Rob
P.S Harry? Spitfire Ia's had small flaps to start with, due to 'rush' to get into service. They grew as the marks got later. And yes its landing. Thanks for checking pic's.

Fine delineation and angle in the capture of this super expensive hi tech stealth baby as it thunders ovehead.

Great shot and it looks like they have all the bugs worked out of F-35s. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Keeps me up to date on what combat might look like in the future.
