Description

The seigneury of Langoiran was one of the most prestigious and powerful elements of the Duchy of Aquitaine. She was involved in the struggles between the kings of England and France. The Lords of Langoiran were all in the service of the Duke of Aquitaine, King of England, except for Bérard who at the end of his life, after being captured by Bertrand Du Guesclin at Eymet in 1374, swore loyalty to the King of France. He died in 1379 after being wounded under the walls of Cadillac
