Description

This is a bit of a strange upload maybe, but I am experimenting with a whole bunch of Photoshop brushes I downloaded from various sources I found via the webring ( http://www.ringsurf.com/netring?ring=psbrushes;action=list ). The rendering and texturing was done in Carrera, but the print (and dirt) on the plate is made in Photoshop 6. The mesh was made by importing a height map I made from that texture in Bryce and exporting it as an obj. I applied the bump map again in Carrera and also used it in the highlight and shininess channels of the shader. It is just a matter of minutes to make the elements for something like this. The rendering takes the most time in the process. Maybe this gives some inspiration to 'dirty up your act'. Especially this URL gives hours of fun experimenting with outrageous brushes (I used some stains and bad photocopy brushes on this texture). http://veredgf.fredfarm.com/vbrush/main.html Oh, by the way. It reads 'PARK HERE' in Dutch. And the CG logo you see is actually the line version of The Communication Garage (CommunicatieGarage in Dutch), we recently made up as company name. The sparkle plug in it is also made in Carrara (rendered with the Vector Style plug-in), but that is something completely different.
