The burst of light and energy only lasted few seconds. And when it stopped, our four protagonist looked at each other and at themselves, nothing seamed to have happened. It was almost disappointing.
Delphine, baffled, looked at the tall figure at the top of the steps and asked.
"What happened, what did you done ?
- A powerful curse was on you all, responded the magician, I sensed it when you entered the city and it was too powerful for me to ignore it. But do not worry now, I dispelled it.
- But what kind of curse was it ? I never detected such a thing. She replied a little disturbed.
- Don't blame yourself, child, it was too powerful for you to sense it. But we will discuss this later. At least when you'll finish to climb the stairs." He said smiling.
He stepped a little away to let Delphine, Romatzo, Minalva and Marina finish their ascension. Then the magician asked to Delphine to come closer. The man had an impressive presence. Not because he was tall, very tall actually, Delphine's head only reach his chest, and he was large too, almost as Romatzo, but because a incredibly strong mix of calm and strength were coming from him.
He let his staff, who remained straight instead of falling to the ground, and the tall magician passed his hands under the shoulders of Delphine and lifted her like if she weighed nothing.
"Delphine! It's such a joy to see you! You became so tall, you are a real woman now." Said Omdeo while laughing and visibly sincerely happy.
Delphine was first surprised by his gesture, but joy came quickly remplace her surprise. When he put her down, she huged him and said, "I am happy to see you too, Omdeo. She said with a big smile. But how did you recognised me, the last time I saw you I was 6 year old ?
- You changed physically, but your very essence is the same, that's how I recognised you. But enough happy reunion, you'll need to explain me why you had this curse on you all.
- It's a long story, Omdeo.
- So let's not discuss of that here, follow me." He started to leave, taking his staff still straight despite no hand holding it, when Delphine asked.
" What was that curse exactely ? She was very curious about it.
" Well, it was not an aggressive curse, but a passive one. It was an anchor to be precise, allowing the one who cursed you to locate you and to cast spells on you at full strength, no matter how far from it you were. That kind of anchor are not necessarily bad, but the one on you was made with the darkest of magic. But let's go talk to a better place. And you'll also present me your friends while we go there.

Thank you for watching and reading ! Hope you enjoyed it.
I first didn't wanted to end the story here, but the text would had been a lot longer. And when a text become too long in my opinion, I cut things I would have wanted to say otherwise.
But I'm not unhappy to make another picture for this scene, because it will allow me to use a set I bought last month. I don't know when I would have use it otherwise.
For Omdeo, I used the Wise Wizard character from Daz. I usually prefer to create my own characters (I talk about appearances, not materials, I suck at creating human textures.), but he was basically the picture I had of Omdeo in my head, the stereotypical old and wise magician. But he is not completelty the vanilla character, I modified a little his face and made him taller and more larger and muscular.

Delightful scene and story... I'm glad he's one of the good guys! Can't wait for the next part. I agree with you choice to cut the text where you did... I keep the narratives on my images to one page in Word... I think any longer would tax the attention of the reader.

Thanks a lot, Zaqxsw. The group have been through hard and stressful stuff, so it will be nice for them be in some friendly and safe place. For the text I try to keep it short for the same reason as you, and also for the people (like me) which don't have english as native language.
