Description :
It has been another long absence from Renderosity. Time files very fast when life gets a bit too busy... My last post was in April and now we are almost at November.... Life is still a bit hectic but it has been way too long since I have been away so thought I do some render and upload it.
On and off I have been tweaking Miho's face and body. I always found her side profile of the face looked more beautiful than compared to from front... so I have been working on making her front face view match up to her beautiful face profile view. I also finally got to move her from G3F base to G8F. It took a fair bit of time as I found there where are lot of geometry issues specially with the mouth and eyes. So while fixing her geometry in ZBrush I also started to experiment a bit more with the shape of her eyes and the jawlines, cheekbones, etc. At the same time I also gave her a bit more voluptuous as well as fit and strong body. Not overtly muscular, but a more soft but strong body. I really liked how this latest incarnation of Miho was turning out. The final thing that brought it all together was this hair (Ichigo Hair @Daz). I have always struggled to find a good hair for Miho. I have bought countless hairs but none worked well with Miho's face. The only one that I liked so far was the Shavonne Hair (@ Daz) that I have been using on Miho until now. But I always longed for a short hair for Miho. Finally this hair caught my eye and well, I think I made the right decision to buy it. It just adds a ton of cuteness to Miho I think and beautifully frames her face =) ! In fact I would say makes her look a lot younger.
So here's the 2018.10 version / incarnation of Miho. Her adventures will continue (just need to find time to render and upload). Hope you like how she looks =).
I hope to slowly catch up to your renders. I have missed a lot in these past 6 months...... and yes, I will continue the story from where I left it off in April.... hopefully soon ;)
About this render :
I was wondering what scene I would do to show case the latest incarnation of Miho. I could have created something new but I decided to use one of my very old scene file. The scene is simple but Miho makes it striking one I think. What makes her stand out more than a slightly blurred background, is her beauty contrasting against the decay behind her. She looks rather cute and sexy in her cut off shorts (Hot Southern Nights for Genesis 3 @ Renderosity ) and top (dForce Summer Sass for Genesis 8 Female(s) @ Daz). I love how the hair looks. I have never used an unnatural color on the hair for Miho before but on this it just works I think. The posing is delicate. As for the off shoulder strap, I did that usig Genesis 8 Female Fit Control (@ Daz) and ZBrush. Miho's smile morph is done is ZBrush. The standard G8F morphs kind of distort her face. I still need to explore the more flexible pose control for the face that G8F has within Daz Studio.
This was rendered with 3 kinds of lighting (used together) - Main light was the Octane Daylight environment. I added a HDRI map to it and also added a massive invisible sphere to the scene that only lights the diffuse materials on the scene (making them brighter) and does not touch those glossy / specular materials or reflect on the glossy/ specular materials (so you can't see the light sphere on any reflective surface). That helped to add a bit more of ambient light into the scene and give it the really bright sunny day feel to it. Octane I think does not do ambient light that well or maybe it does it perfectly just that I expect more ambient light in the scene than what it produces. Brightening the HDRI maps to add ambient light can result it whitewashed sky (though not a problem in this scene as no sky is visible) hence I tend to not over brighten the HDRI maps.
Took close to two hours to render at 4K. What I have uploaded is a scaled down version of it. All the materials are custom / modified materials except for the background building. The pavement and moss are Quixel Megascan materials including the rust that I added to the fence / railing.
