A fantastic and beautiful image, Steve! Your talent and creativity remains at full strength!
Yeah, you pretty much have to have an address to have a job. I'm sure your mom understands your situation, and will be willing to let you move in for a while. Hope your situation improves soon, buddy! Hang in there!

Beautiful work! And so happy you have a plan now. That always helps. Just hang in there my friend. Stay positive and believe in yourself. Don't wait for your ship to come in. Get out there and build it. Make your life be what you need it to be. Happy Holidays!

Splendid rendering of Jacque In Ze Box, as the French might put it, in lieu of the coming holidays at the end of the month. And good luck living with Mom, my senior citizen son is living with me, so that's the way it goes. I also have back problems, i.e., sciatica, stenosis and scoliosis, which I've had for ages.

I think this is the coolest 'jack-in-the-box' that I've ever seen!! I luv the colorful background, and the musical notes coming out of the box. The lady in the box looks a lot like your 'Tina'......Could this be 'Tina' in the box???? 'lol'!!! Nice job Steve.....I likey!!! 'lol' I'm glad you decided to move in with your Mom......you could be a big help to her.....I think she would like that!!

misty7j3 gives great comments...so here's another of your jack in the box images, another theme you return to and which you do so well. The idea for a puppet jumping out of a box may go back hundreds of years, but the jack-in-the-box goes back to the 1930s; and actually, some were dangerous, because they'd pop out and hit a child in the face. (Ugh! Not a great surprise for a kid.) They made them safe, however, and they were made for years after that. I love what you do with them: This woman is dressed in your traditional jester outfits, and she's playing a violin. You do a great job with all that black next to her shining orange-red hair. And you carry the diamond shapes through the whole piece---in the squares on the box, in the tiles on the floor and wall, etc. And I love the figures on the sides of the box, with playing-card hearts and diamonds. And all those coins on the floor. A packed and very rich piece, Steve. You even aged the side paintings like they were many years old. This is a visual treat...
