Description

Everyone's favorite "Love to Hate" Lion, Scar, the evil uncle from Disney's the Lion King... Also, if you look and are a Disney fan, you may find 3 hidden mickey's in the picture. For those who don't know what they are, they are three circles (two smaller than the other) that make the shape of Mickey's head... Characters and Original Reference (C)Disney. While I used a Disney artist reference, this piece was handpainted from scratch in Photoshop from a blank canvas, and the background was the cloud filter in PS 6. Photoshop 3 & 6 The sketch was done a long time ago like the Little Mermaid one, but repainted with new techniques I learned from Toxic Angel's Postwork Tutorial as well as some of my own tricks. Ahhhhh! You have certainly captured the cold and calculating look Scar was so famous for. It seems as if he is chuckling over his latest scheme to rid himself of that pesky Mufassa! This is simply perfection in itself Shadow! You better be careful, Disney may abduct you and force you to paint homage to ALL their characters! LOL What a rough life that would be!
