At first, thank you for the nice comments, likes and favorits to my last Image: TFLWPT - Visit of the Ladies.
It means a lot to me!
As promised, today I want to reveal the secret of Rotrud. Ragnor thought she was a chambermaid of the Empress Judith. But the jailer explained to him, as Ragnor said the maid had it fist thick behind the ears. In a sense, he committed lamentation of majesty, for Rotrud de Limoges is none other than the daughter of Emperor Louis the Pious. Ergo she is the granddaughter of Charlemagne.
Unfortunately, in the early Middle Ages, girls were not eligible for the imperial throne and were simply married to a promising candidate. Preferably with someone who offers himself as a reliable weapons brother.
If the daughters had a claim to the imperial throne, there would certainly have been a lot of war …
