Description

Phaetara seems to be beckoning you to join her in an evening dip. I suspect she does not have a swimsuit on under that cute dress… I’m sure wherever she is it’s a lot warmer than it is here! I don’t know about you, but I am sooooo over winter. This was just a little bit of fiddling around in DAZ Studio 4.11 beta. I had one spotlight to the right and slightly above, plus two point lights simulating light bulbs on the ceiling of the structure. I will probably be back sooner than the two weeks I mentioned in my earlier post. Over the last couple of days I’ve kind of had an epiphany of sorts. In reading through some of the comments on my last post, I had to stop and reconsider what is most important about this thing called creating art. Sometimes we lose track of why we started on this journey in the first place. For many of us, the journey starts simply for the sheer enjoyment of creating something – something that possibly others could enjoy. And in reading all of your wonderful comments – and a few that really touched me – I’ve come to the realization of just exactly how unimportant making a buck with it really is. The fact that my humble efforts can help lift the spirits of someone who’s down, or to provide a simple smile for somebody starting out on their workday, is worth far more than having a huge crowd of pledges on Patreon. Your friendships here are the real riches that I’ve been blessed with on this journey. Thank you so much! Having said that, I will leave my Patreon page active – it doesn’t cost me a dime to leave it there. And who knows what may happen in the coming months or years. I’m also creating a few lines of goodies from the TNA story that will be available on RedBubble. And that’s the only shameless plug I’m going to inflict on you! LOL In between getting caught up on comments (I hope to have that done in the next day or two), I’m also adding a bunch of stuff to the bridge of that gigantic yacht that Melanie Betty and Ranpha are about to pass out over. I’m trying to make the bridge look as high tech as possible – after all, if it’s for the TNA gals it’s gotta look good! As always, thank you for stopping by and for all your fantastic support and awesome comments! You guys and gals are truly the best! Rod's Lair Facebook Twitter Girls From T.N.A. Glad your thinking right Rodglad to have you back sooner. I know your next TNA page is going to be thrilling as always. Packed with excitement and thrills. You come up with great story lines and present them superbly. Still not sure if anybody here has sold any art, photos, or any other type of work.

Oh I so would take a dip with her, as long as she don't mind old farts. Red warm lighting and great set.

I like the red lighting in this, especially the spotlights from above. This looks so warm and inviting. I'm tired of the cold, I want to put the sweaters away and dress more like your lovely doll in this scene. She looks sweet, friendly, and happy. Her shiny dress is very pretty; it matches her hair.

No dichotomy between the two. If you love what you do, you'll do it better. The better you get the better likelihood someone will pay you for it. Meanwhile, despite the initial hiccups, I see your integration of Daz proceeds apace. Nice apace !! :-D

Good to know that you're getting a grip on some of your concerns. Be content in knowing that many folks truly enjoy/appreciate your art, and that you enjoy the process of creation. Anyway, am glad to know you'll be back soon to tickle our brains with your creations.

Like what I see here with this environment (I too happily own it) Creating a night scene with it is a great idea. Girl looks delighted she's in this spot. Who wouldn't be?

your lighting really sets the mood for a romantic swim. superb work.going on 16 years being an active member, I have been privileged to enjoy so much art of all kinds. I doubt if I will sell any, but if it is not readily available, then the chances are even lower

Swimming? In February? Not a chance in hell Rod. Not.Gonna.Happen. It was -32C this morning, that's cold enough to freeze the nads off a brass bat! I'll just sit on the sidelines with a warm cocoa.

Excellent scene work and lighting !!!

I had already commented on your previous post before I realized that you had uploaded this new image. I am really glad to see that you have a fresh perspective on things. For me, I like to think that my best work is going to be the very next thing I come up with. I like to keep a fresh apple dangling out in front of me and just out of reach. That doesn't mean that I'm a Jack-ass (although, I know some who would argue that point!) but with that being just out of reach, I fell that I'm always striving to go forward. So when I post something, it doesn't matter if I get one comment or a hundred (100 ain't happened, yet, and not in the foreseeable future, either!!!), I am equally ecstatic. Just to find some like-minded people who enjoy art and computer graphics as much as I do . . . . . well, that's all just a big plus, for me.

Glad to see that you are going to cut this hiatus short, my friend. Keep up the great work, Rod ! ! ! ! ! Looking forward to seeing some of your new stuff.
