Description
Schnellboot attack!
The German fast attack boats or S-boats were the torpedo boats of the Kriegsmarine. These craft were around 35 feet long, heavily armed, and the best (S-100's) were capable of 43.5 knots. The diesel engine put them in a class above the American PT boats and the British MTP boats that were powered by gasoline engines.
The E-boats, or Enemy boats as the allies called them were responsible for an incredible amount of damaged or sunk tonnage, either by direct attack or from mines that they laid. The intrepid crews garnered an amazing 23 Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross and 112 German Cross in Gold awards for their accomplishments.

Crew: James character with terrific gear by Tryphon.
Models set up and posed in PoserPro; composed, lighting, re-textured, and rendered with DazStudio: finished in PS Cs3.

Those boat squadrons were a very effective part of the German military, especially when they first went into action. Their crews suffered greatly later on though, and many deserved their bravery awards. A scary sight for merchant navy folk, I'm sure. It's a nice rendering too. How did you do the wave and spray effects?

Thanks for your kind comment. The ocean is DA Big Ocean at Daz with a lot of experimentation. It is a great product with a lot of possibilities and variations..and a lot to get your head around. I made the bow wake obj's and some alpha plane sprays..again a lot of experimentation with textures. Just needed a tiny bit of post-work in photoshop to finish it up.
