Description
Sorry about the lost upload last night (for anyone who looked and found nothing). I wanted to say something about Syltermermaid's passing, but I didn't really know her well enough, so left it to those who did (out of total respect to her). But I did want to share condolences for losing someone you all love, and to add, above all, that sharing art with fellow artists is a treat; and that moments like this bring out what a family this can be. I also mentioned that 3D seems to have a really strong bond where many of you care deeply for each other...I was always impressed with that, coming from 2D, where artists can be much more isolated. Anyway, may Ute shine over you always.

This is not my art: I bought it from a Peruvian woman who lives in the Andes Mountains and makes these magical fabric pieces. I just wanted you to see some of what I have in my home. This is all sewn-on---even the little people and flowers are sewn-on (it's an applique), piece by piece by piece. It's an art filled with love of life, and, to me, sheer delight. I also have masks, wall hangings, ceramics, drawings, etc. I'll share over time...but this seemed fitting for remembering our lost ones with a big, joyous magical-kingdom of dance...
I missed a day of commenting, but I returned this morning and will comment through the week. I hope you're all well, and wish you a great rest of the week! mark

This is very beautiful and detailed. It does remind me of Ute's work in that there is a love of love and beauty in its creation. Thank you for sharing this.

The colors are so lively and cheerful. It's such a delightful and whimsical piece of art. Trees, flowers, animals, and people.... everything living in harmony, layer upon layer.
Ute was a wonderful artist and her work was greatly appreciated; I used many of her characters... she will be missed.

It's a great capture of the art my friend. Someone is very talented at stitch work? Colorful it is just like Ute, years ago she shared her characters when she was selling them. Lost contact for a few years, then she was posting her models for all to use. She never mentioned to me anything about her health. Thanks for sharing Mark.

That is a wonderful piece of fabric art, and it's easy to see the love that went into it's creation, as well as the skill of the artist. A really beautiful work of art.
I did see your post last night, and thought what you wrote was perfectly fine. I didn't know Ute all that well, but like others, I've been richly blessed with her generosity and creativity. Her legacy will live on through her wonderful art and characters.
And I wholeheartedly agree with your observations about this 3D community - both here and at other sites like Fantasy Attic. A shining example was that post I put up a couple months ago about a quirky issue I ran into with DAZ. The next day I had all kinds of responses. And that's the rule rather than the exception...
It brings to mind a few memories from my days (or possibly daze) when I was involved rather deeply with a photography club. Not only was I the Vice Chairman (I was in charge of all the vice..😂), but I was also the treasurer, activities committee, newsletter editor/publisher, contest committee, etc, etc, ad Infinium... I busted my ass for that organization. But - when someone brought in their lovely photos of some model they'd managed to get some nudes of - I'd ask "where do you find models willing to do nude / lingerie / swimsuit poses?" I'd get answers like "Oh, they surface," "you gotta have a project, "ya just have to know how to talk to 'em," or other non-useful nonsense.
You don't get that kind of crap here - folks are happy to share information! 👍😁
