OMG, it's your birthday again? Wasn't it just yesterday when you turned 69? In any event, have a great big sumptuous one, my friend. Your colorful postworked photos and novelettes, not to mention your all encompassing exacting comments, have entertained us all through the weeks and months.

Thank you for all your words, Ana, they're very touching, and I know how much you mean them too...You touched me greatly with all you said, as you always do. And your image is a pure Ana: Your 'signature' deep blue sky, those wonderful cartoon characters (these have big round heads and legs and arms---but most of them have no bodies, lol: They're little spirits, alma boas (I hope my Portuguese is good!), even young guia espirituals (guardian spirits), even "espírito das árvores" (tree spirits?)---they're out of fairy tales. And they're lining the sky and sitting on one of your horizons---drawn with a single white line---surrounded by big cities (like Chicago or Lisboa). And a tiny little child in the right-bottom corner---another of your signature elements. It's beautiful...I'm always amazed at how you move from your deeply serious portraits to these delightful cartoons. And I love the bright colors of each spirit...they stand out so beautifully against that blue.

Thank you for all your love and wishes, Ana, you've been a precious friend the whole time I've known you (as you have to the others who you've been close to), and I'm very grateful. Also that you took the time to do this---and comment on other dedis too---when I know how incredibly busy you've been. Thank you so much, this is precious to me, and I thank you for doing it for me and for my 70th birthday...Meu mais profundo agradecimento e amor...(I hope that's correct!), I'm very grateful that you came here, it's always wonderful to see you here...thank you for coming here for this.
