Description

"We're lost." April sighed. "How can that happen?" Mech demanded, looking at Drone. "I thought you said you had it down." "We're not lost." Drone said, sounding a little defensive. "Just...geographically challenged." "Geographically challenged my tin ass!" "Hey, HEY!" April gave them a scathing look. "Shut it, okay? I'm trying to think." Mech and Drone scowled at each other, which was pretty hard given their structure and build, but managed it nonetheless. April walked a bit ahead, looking for anything familiar, however remote, but she was stumped. Which was weird, because she was sure it was only a little more than an hour ago that they left base. And she had taken the path hundreds of time before. She could probably traverse the waypoints while asleep at the controls. Plus she had Drone, which could process and triangulate locations at a trillion bits per second. They couldn't get lost if they wanted to. At least that's what the technology said. And yet here they were. "Drone," April rubbed her neck, feeling the knots of her stress. "What does your scanner say?" "Let's see." Drone probed with his laser, engulfing a wide area with bluish glow. "Hmm, that's strange." "What?" "It's picking up an intense heat source." Drone vibrated unsteadily. "Whoa! It's going off the charts! There's a creature of incredible hotness here." "Where?" Mech barked as it clunked into battle stance, feet apart, torse turning right and left in anticipation. "Oh, wait, it's just April." Drone chuckled, which sounded a little like a board short circuiting : cackle and pop. "Why you little piece of analog junk." Mech took a swipe with his claw thingie but Drone dodged it easily, laughing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rendered for a little over an hour. Now that's what I'm talking about! Hehehe Me just hopes you likes. Thanks.

5 ⭐ - this time not primarily for the render, but for the blurb: a drone with a wicked sense of humor - that's great.
