Description

Once upon a time, I discovered houses across the street from my place of residence. I moved to the suburb of Berwyn, shortly after that, and found apartment buildings across from my then-suburban apartment. I published 13 short stories during the end of my tenure in Berwyn, and endured things no one should have to endure, but I managed to take numerous photos of "ghost houses" based on apartments across the street. Since then, I’ve moved back into the house I grew up in, and I live with family that I’ve outgrown…I guess there’s a reasonable payoff, since I’m saving money to move to Prague, and I get to make intentional camera motion photos of houses I've known since childhood. Eventually, I'll be gone, and living in Prague. Permanently. Something ghostly appears in the lens of a moving camera, and maybe those ghosts will evolve into something else as time progresses. For now, I’ve mixed ghost houses with other ghosts: photographic evidence of things I’d experienced, including rust on the top of a newspaper box, the very last photograph of the moon that I took in Berwyn, and something hidden. In time, I’ll look back at this photo and I’ll look back at the night I posted the photo…I’ll grin, most likely, and wander around taking photos of cobblestones and random street scenes. In the meantime, here’s a photo of ghosts (at least in the subjective sense.) As always, thank you for viewing, reading, and commenting.

I am curiously taken by the colours of this composition. Unexpectedly therapeutic. They seem to have made my stressed out muscles relax slightly and my change of season aches and pains have relented a bit. I am Sagittarius so colours tend to be reassuring to me. Perhaps a subconscious memory from very early i my life. I have reflected on the impact of such memories that we don't remember of late. And there is something about this dance of shapes and hues which I have experienced somewhere in my murky past. Or perhaps in a parallel life.
