This is exceptional, Barb. It has an Indian feeling (Asian Indian), like the great miniatures that came from there around the 16th and 17th Centuries ("Mughal" esp), and also like traditional Persian miniatures...It feels Japanese too! I know you created it from intuition, but you have that romantic pose and stylization in the fairy, and you've ornamented her hair with all these lotus flowers (which are very Indian), and you've stylized her hair into a big creamy veil, and her posture is so classic, like the lovers of those old beautiful miniatures. Your background is awash in pale and beautiful pinks, and those trees and blossoms are so Chinese and Japanese...that tree really has the feeling of the great Chinese ink paintings; a great choice for this (incl anything you did to it). Her wings are transparent and a beautiful pink, and they balance out the tree (as do the fanned leaves behind them). With the blossoms flying in the air, this is pure magic: It feels very ancient and modern, and timeless...Beautiful work, Barb. You never cease to surprise and amaze me with your magic...
