I just have to get back here and comment on this spate of images you're putting up for spring, and soon after you've posted them...they're harbingers of the coming warmth, and they're beautiful...Once again you've doused a work in pinks, this time in pale pinks (background---almost grayish pinks), deeper pinks in the water and some of the flowers, luminous reddish pinks in other flowers (in the trees), etc. And near center to all this, another of your mysterious goddess-like figures, with that amazing 'tattoo' down her back, of a vine of flowers reminiscent of East Asian art (the way the older Chinese and Japanese masters did 'solos' of flowers on branches, in fact wrote whole manuals on them and their unique brush styles)...The woman's back is to us, so she seems like a goddess of spring and its cornucopia---but she's veiled from us, in mystery, she isn't showing her full essence yet...and your background-left is a craggy mountain with falls of water, an amethyst moon, and what looks like a hummingbird who's come to greet the goddess...then, on the right, you seem to have placed hidden mountains and fairy tale lands...This is a quiet, reclusive glimpse into what will soon become full bursts of light---that's how it feels to me---with a woman who, in her privacy, seems to hold great secrets of this place, and is giving us but hints of them now...it's subdued, subtle and lush at the same time...really beautiful barb...I think of how many styles you've shown here incl your earliest posts (which I want to return to at some point), and i"m struck that you have a whole treasure-chest of styles inside you, which you can draw on however you wish. This pink-laden, nascent spring style is but an example of what flourishes inside you.
I was going to comment on your most recent piece (which I loved), but I've gotten a call and have to leave. I'll come back later in the weekend. Hope your late March is treating you well---you've treated us splendidly with what you've created for it...
