Description

Aglais urticae - I am still learning to handle my new lens - FE 28/90 MACRO G OSS from Sony its a other way to look and to handle. With my other lens I used to zoom so much as possible in my direction, now I need to go to the object. with my first results I am almost happy

Very beautiful image. The butterfly really pops against the background, which is blurred and rather homogeneous. Well done!

I admire how hard you work with new lenses and techniques. I do so little macro photography, I never learned how to do it. I've always thought yours was beautiful, and very sensitive. This is an amazing study of a moth's/butterflies body. When zoomed, we can see the great detail in this beautiful insect: It has silken hairs all around its body, and wonderful alternating blacks and whites. Plus, those green buds are wonderful 'counterpoint' to the butterfly/moth---they're like "punctuation marks" all across the image. And mandloks (above) mentioned your bokeh: From what I remember, your bokeh backgrounds have always been subtle and beautifully modulated. Here, it almost makes an abstract background. As always, a sensitive and thoughtful image.
