At first, thank you for the nice comments, likes and favourits to my last Image: TFLWPT - The last fight.
It means a lot to me.
Rotrud, the emperor's daughter, led Ragnor to the honorary box. There sat the Emperor Louis, who obviously had visitors. Ragnor immediately recognized the young lady, accompanied by a slightly older man: his cousin Sigrid. And her husband was none other than Harald Halfdanson, called Harald Klak.
We remember that Ragnor's sister Sigrun was married to Harald's father Halfdan, who was briefly king of Denmark.
And now it came out that Harald and Sigrid and their two children had been baptized. Nobody but Emperor Ludwig was their godfather. Now they approached Ragnor, because they were convinced that Ragnor, as Skryrmir's last living son, could quickly summon more allies to arms. Because Harald intended to conquer the Dane Throne as the first christian King for himself.
Ragnor refused strictly, he saw in Harald a traitor to Odin and the Norse god Pantheon. Besides, he did not want to take the coals out of the fire for anyone and burn his fingers. In the future he would only work on his own account.
Emperor Ludwig had not heard a word of the conversation in the Nordic language, but he saw in Ragnor's gesture that he had given the designated King Harald a rebuff.
Emperor Louis reminded Ragnor that he had to leave the empire as soon as possible, unless he wanted to enter the service of the emperor.
Ragnor did not intend to stay. Because he already had his own plan.
