Description

A simple animation created with Blender 2.8 using the "real time" render engine called Eevee. This animation was created to showcase my 3d printable Gyroid Torus Pendant product, as well as test the results of the Eevee engine for production. The model here is quite geometrically dense, as it was modeled specifically for 3d printing, containing around 300k quad polygons. There are 400 frames to this animation, each frame took roughly 8 seconds to render at a resolution of 1000x1000 px (for Instagram posting). I rendered with a Nvidia GTX 1070 gpu on a Asus Strix laptop.

Thank you. I believe the render time was around 45 minutes for 400 frames. Not every frame took 8 seconds. Some took less, some a little more. 8 seconds was around the average frame render time. If you have a Nvidia GTX graphics card, then rendering with Eevee could certainly be worth it. I've found the results particularly good for motion graphics or animation such as this example. The realism is there, and it could hold up under a fair degree of scrutiny.
