Description

Just a quickie to let you know I'm still alive and kicking... Or alive, anyway... 😁 I've been doing some experimenting with a number of things, and researching a number of other things... All in preparation for Chapter 7 which will be coming your way in the near future. I still have a few pages to go in Chapter 6, and I hope to get those posted soon. I have written an all new backstory as a prologue for Chapter 7, and I'll be putting a trailer together as well. Stay tuned. I've started adding some of my Poser runtimes to the DAZ machine - and that's going to take some time.. I'll probably add a dedicated drive to the DAZ machine just for the Poser content. Having said that, I'll still be doing 95+ % of the T.N.A. renders in Poser Pro 2014 (not abandoning Poser anytime in this century..). I'm working with both PP2014 and PP-11. I have PP-11 installed on my Origin laptop (used to have DS 4.9 on it), and have been experimenting with it. I was finally able to get Vue 10 Complete migrated over to the dual-processor machine. It gave me some issues with the activation code since it's an older version of Vue, but the folks at E-On were really helpful in getting a new activation code, and it's working flawlessly so far. And in my continuing quest to drive myself (more) insane I'll probably be tackling the new version of Blender very soon. They're all tools in the toolbox, folks - to help me bring you the best I can create.. I went with my buddy Andy yesterday to see the Avengers Endgame movie... Wow! 3 hours of awesomeness (well except for a couple parts, but no spoilers..), and of course a SFX smorgasbord.. Then we stuffed ourselves at Bo-Ling's around the corner (the honey walnut chicken is absolutely to die for!). I know I've not been real active for a few weeks, but things are calming down a bit, and they aren't uncovering anymore dinosaur fossils in my backyard (sorry, Art... LOL), so maybe I can get things rolling again.. Anyway... This is Lissa - I just pulled the name out of the air - and she's the result of a little fiddling with FaceGen. The room is Tru-Form's "President's Office" freebie, with a few things retextured by me. For the lamp on the desk, I made the shade an emissive, and added a point light above it. The round rug on the floor is actually one of Richardphoto's roses he provided for us to use - thanks, Richard! Thanks for stopping by, and for all your awesome support and comments! Your messing while in the drool. She's looking marvelous in the office she has, stylish like Tina's. Does look same just with your textures and colors. Darn cool bro. You do experiment alot. Something I don't try. Not sure, just lazy on my part I guess. Will be waiting for the next chapter.

That's a cool room. I really like the rose on the floor. The lighting is excellent.

Take care, don't work too hard... you're retired, remember. :)

Good to see you around Rod :) ! Lissa for president ;) ? Looks like Chapter 7 will be epic :) and you are doing a lot of preparation for it. It has taken me a week just to render the next 3 panels and I still haven't gotten around to doing the write up for it ! I think I tried Blender once but was put off by it. But yup, they are just tools of the trade. I need to start using some of the tools of the trade sitting idle on my disk for years now.

I think I will go and see the Avengers Endgame. I average one movie a year.... Have heard really good reviews about it from friends and you also confirmed it is that good. So going to be worth it I think. I do love the SFX in the avenger movies, specially the ones related to Ironman.

What a busy beaver you've been! Do like how you've redecorated the Oval. She does look like someone our un-esteemed leader would like to grab in the "kitty." Super lighting and do like how you've handled the light shade. The Rose Rug is a beautiful addition to the scene...

LOL... She's been through T.N.A. training.. She'd turn him inside out with one hand tied behind her back! 🤣

The setting looks fantastic as does Madame President! LOL! She is a real sweetie and I'm sure she would do on helluva a better job than the current occupant of the office! A great looking creation! Glad you life is coming back together! Hope things continue to work out well for you!

On first view, I'm thinking this set appears very Oval Office-ish. Lo and behold, it is !!

And if you're at the point with Daz that you can re-texture and otherwise modify objects then you've become quite adept. As a Poser aficionado and as you progress further with Daz, it will be interesting, to say the least, to hear what you think Daz's shortcomings are.

Oh, and the early evening lighting is very, very well done. In places (the view window and sitting area) the subtlety is quite remarkable.

Thank you good sir! I've been retexturing stuff for a long time in Poser, and the process is really not much different for DAZ. The main difference is DAZ doesn't use a 'material' room like Poser does, but the 'surface' selection, and surface editor under the 'surface' tab works pretty much the same way as far as putting a different image map on things - like the rug. In Poser you have 'materials' you can apply to things, and in DAZ you have shaders. For instance I added a metal shader to the flagpoles, and used PS CC to make an image map for the flags.
