Description
A "schwarm" of Bf-109 fighters flying low cover for a group of Kriegsmarine warships. I'm not alluding to any particular naval event in WW II, just riffing off of the German's bold and chancy Channel Dash of 1942. Some of the Luftwaffe cover flew at a higher altitude, while others flew low, under the British radar.
Really Excellent Bf-109 by Predatron, with some modifications.
KMS Lutzow (Deutschland): Very nice model by rjordan
Additional ships found on 3dwarhouse and modified considerably.
Wakes sculpted in my basement.
Models prepped in PoserPro, C4d, and Daz Studio; composed, lighting, some texture adjustments, and rendered in DazStudio; finished in Ps Cs3

Mein Vater, ein vergessener Held der deutschen Kriegsmarine unter Großadmiral Dönitz (Scharnhorst) und später U-Boot Fahrer (damals stationniert in La Rochelle) hätte an deinen Grafiken seine wahre Freunde!

Vielen Dank! Was für ein tolles Kompliment.

Beautiful!! My only suggestion is the very dark turret top, as it distracts the eye.
