The story continues from the previous render... It was time to start informing the agents she trusted around the world about the spying situation within theirs and others organizations. Time to start gathering forces to deal with this Corporation. Miho called the Director of T.N.A. first and suggested a seedy but completely abandoned part of the town as a meeting place. This whole place was bought over by Miho which no one knew because of the countless shell companies she had created to handle such transactions. She had kept everything as is. Her plan was to later use this area as a base of operations. Anyone by mistake coming to this part of the town and specially at night night always found the total silence and the colorful lights a very odd and eerie combination... And if they stayed more than a few minutes, high pitch blood curdling howling and snarling of wolfs broke that silence which was activate by the motion sensors, cameras and AI. That scared them away because of the urban myth related to this place. The myth was that there was a pack of wolfs around here that hunted humans... Stories had spread to create the urban myth about wolfs and well on occasions the wolf (which followed Miho everywhere) had made a few appearances here and actually chased people and put the fear in them... Those people then spread the story about how they encountered ferocious wolfs and well the myth was born and maintained and this place was left alone. The Director knew about this place and knew about the myth but if Miho wanted to meet there then he would meet her there. He did not want to tell anyone about this meeting. Not even the girls. He knew how jealously Miho guarded this aspect of her life and knew how dangerous it would be for her if anyone came to know who she was. The Director took a long way about to make sure he was not followed. His phone was also switched off and battery taken out. He carried no other electronic device. Nothing could be used to track him. He constantly switched cars and clothing and by the time he reached that placed, he was on his 5th car and clothing. He parked, crossed two unlit streets and then came to this very run down and colorful square. He had never been here and found it interesting. It had a certain sinister vibe to it. The silence was deafening. How odd he thought, after all he was still in the city that bustled with life. Then he saw Miho coming towards him. Miho - "Good evening, Director" Director - "Good evening, Firefly. How have you been ?" Miho - "Have been a bit busy as usual." The Director rolled his eyes and smiled - "Ah." He knew what a bit busy meant where Miho was concerned. Miho came over to the Director and shook his hand. Miho - "I have good news and bad news." Miho continued - "Have you heard of the Corporation ?" Director - "Only whispers. No one has heard anything concrete. If fact we have less than a page of information on them. Most think it is just someone's disinformation campaign to make us chase something that is not there and waste our time." Miho - "Oh they are real and they are really bad news. Just today I took a device off their hand and the information I got off it is very alarming." The Director raised his eyebrows questioningly. Miho - "You have spies in your sister three alphabet organizations and in the other government department and a lot of them ! And the worst part of it is I believe this is not even the full list. I only have information regarding 14 such organization and government departments. For the rest I do not have any data as of now." Director - "Not possible. We polygraph everyone every other week." Miho - "Well, according to this they are there." Miho passed the Director a USB device. Director - "How many names are there ?" Miho - "189 in total" Director - "Good god !!!" Miho - "Out of that 27 are in very senior levels in your sister organizations and 12 in the government departments." Director - "Christ !" Miho - "There is probably 2 things you can do - either act on this and take them all in at one go. But then you are going to show your hand to the Corporation. Or somehow monitor them and use them to your advantage without showing your hand. And btw. you may want to coordinate worldwide if you want to strike. I have also put a list of agents I trust in other countries on that devices. Some you may know and some you won't. But Director, that agent list is only for your eyes. Do not share it." The Director stayed silent. She could see he was lost in deep thought. After few moments the Director said- "I need to go. I have to have a meeting with other security chiefs. To think we had no idea about them. Christ !" Miho understood what he had to deal with. Miho - "Director, you need to look at the list before you call the meeting, there is a name in there that you need to take note off." Director - "What ? You mean one of my counterparts is a spy for this Corporation too ?" Miho just nodded. Director waving the USB device "Firefly, I am really grateful for this.". With that he shook hands with Miho once again and turned and walked back to his car. Miho stood there for a moment looking at the Director as he disappeared down the street. Miho thought the Director had visibly aged in front of her but then the information she had just passed on was a security chief's worst nightmare. Just 10 blocks away, in a posh office tower, there was another gathering of forces taking place.... The Chairman of the Corporation had called a meeting of the board members to discuss this enemy they had not yet been able to identify. Neither Miho or the Chairman of the Corporation knew that they were so near each other at that moment..... if only they knew they were so close..... The story will continue with the next render...

This one is for Rod ! Rod has put Miho in many scenes of his story and put her as the mysterious 'benefactor' of the T.N.A. team, so I thought I will put the Director of T.N.A. in one of mine :). I looked at all the pages I could find the Director in and tried to match his look. Rod, hopefully I have come close with the slight beard and the half bald look and done the Director justice :). I am really proud of how this render looks ! Took me around 8 hours to create this. Every single material that you see except for the road and pavement has been edited / modified / changed to make them look better. All the graffiti were enhanced to make them look vibrant and visible even in low light. The lighting took the most amount of time as I experiment with different colors, powers, bloom / glare effects. I also changed some non-light objects to lights such as the cyan light bollards. They were white in color and were not lights but then I thought if I turned them into lights they would look much better and add another element to the atmosphere of this scene. After finishing with the lights I put Miho and the Director on the scene and glamed up Miho a bit. Now while posing Miho and the Director initially I had placed them to the right (viewer's) side. But then I did not like how the background view was looking. So spent time moving them to different parts of the scene and doing test renders to see if it looked good. But what I was looking for actually meant they needed to be at the middle of the road. But then the scene would look odd with them standing in the middle of the road. So I thought maybe I add another plane primitive and add the pavement texture on it and place it such that it created the impression that the road ended there. That created the perfect platform to put them on and it also gave me the view I wanted of the background with all the billboards and the colorful lights and its effects fully visible. I also moved some of the non visible billboard down and placed them on the walls of the buildings around the area to add more color to the scene. Then added another set of the cyan light bollards on the pavement Miho and the Director were standing one. I had to also think about the interaction I was going to create between the Director and Miho. Finally decided on them shaking hands. The scene looked complete but then I thought I wanted a car in the scene. So tried a few car models but nothing looked good until I put the one you see on the scene. I purposefully placed it in the corner such that it was half visible and the red light reflected on it on one side and the cyan lights on the other. I think it added to the atmosphere of the scene. It took around 34 minutes @4K. Though it was more or less done in 18 minutes. I just let it render longer to make the light and its effects look more vibrant and better. One last thing, in this Miho and the Director are actually lit by a Daylight HDRI. But I did some adjustments such that you really cannot make out that a daylight HDRI was used here. And this whole scene was rendered as one and not layered. All contrast, bloom, etc were also done within Octane. What you see is how the final output out of Octane was.
