Description
Yariel and his twin Kariel had been inseparable all their lives, and he didn't mind his little brother tagging along, now that he was older, and slightly less annoying. He even accepted that his childhood friend Jake, upon accepting Dariel as more than tagalong, had accepted him as much, much more than a tagalong. He didn't even mind that the pair would be the first married, but when Dariel's best friend Qwin began to hang around with them, he noticed that Kariel and Qwin were growing closer.
It was only just now as he sat in the Silverlight Palace, what the Terrans of Earth called a Movie Theater that he realized, that 'movie night' was only a tradition for him, for his brothers it was date night, and while it hadn't started out that way, he had come to the movie theater alone.
Note: It only seems sad, it is change.

As handsome as Yariel is, he won't be alone for long, I predict! Beautiful characters! Marvelous image! I love it! Bravo and many fine kudos!

On the plus side he actually gets to pay attention to the movie. Great lighting and interaction between characters. Excellent scene

Very good composition and poses.

Growing up doesn't mean we have to grow apart. The relationships just change. Beautiful story and a great illustration!

That's the irony of being so young. Yariel is too young to see that his brothers are still there with him. He's just focusing on the fact that he hasn't found someone yet. Thanks for the compliment.

Even without the story of the brothers and their friends and so on (the dates, etc), this is a packed highly mixed capture of humanity. I call it a 'capture' (I'm a photographer and physical media artist, first and foremost, and my 3D is so bad, I wouldn't post it if someone paid me) (I'd probably get thrown off the site), because it has photographic sensibilities. But of course you created it, and it's a mass of wonderful humanity, in all shapes and forms (though all young), with great attitudes, some in deep shadow, others in light; a real mix of outfits; a vital use of the 'frame' of the image---one foot over the rail, many front-row hands in line with the top rail (composition)---and a gradual thinning out of people as we sink back into the seats. You really have an eye for group images, and you capture many personalities, poses and interactions into a whole. And your light here, in spots, feels a little like (of all people) the ol' Renaissance madman, Caravaggio. You have some of his contrasts, and some of his matte bronze tones. Terrific work.
