A couple of civilian musicians performing at a Civil War reenactment held in a park somewhere in beautiful Lon Beach, California, back on 7/31/2010.
I still have tons of pics of that event vegetating in my files.

these women aren't in period costume, but they're immersed in their music all the same. (They have that "lost in the music" look). I love that you chose these two---they're all music, no messing around, and two very different "looks". I love the modern stuff behind them in shot 1 (incl an Aquafina water bottle---definitely not a big item in the C.War), with Ice Cream signs and other stuff in the background. And the bottom shot has wonderful dappled light. Notice the clothes-pin on the sheet music, in front of the violinist? If you don't have that, the music can blow, and there goes your performance! I just never saw a clothes pin before. (I'd pay to see that with the LA Philharmonic!) Another delightful pair of musician-shots, Harry.
