------------------ This is for Ute (UteBigSmile). I'd tried to do 3D---since that's Ute's medium---but my results were sooooo bad, I reverted to my 'old stomping ground', graphic manipulation. I hoped my manipulations would evoke some of Ute's broad and very vivid art. However...as I was still finishing these, I read---in Ute's gallery---that she's been diagnosed with acute dopamine deficiency: Dopamine is essential for nerve transmissions, so it effects a slew of biological processes: An acute deficiency can cause great pain and a lot of other difficult problems as well. I was very sorry to hear of this, Ute, and so this dedi is for your recovery, as well as for your art. And I'm sorry that my art is a bit "hyper": But, because you're stepping away from RR, I wanted to post them quickly, in your honor. So yeah, they're a bit "hyper"---but you can see them whenever you're able...they were done with great wishes for you, in mind. On Ute's work: I love Ute's work......because she illustrates so many stories, moods, historic scenes, sci-fi and futuristic scenes, song titles and so on (und so weiter---I'm using a little Deutsch/German in Ute's honor!)...and she creates an amazing number of scenes with all kinds of backgrounds, moods, styes, lighting etc, and creativity. Her gallery, to me, is a big 'museum of the imagination', where you'll see a touching pastoral scene right after a wild, gritty urban scene; or two lovers in Paris right after a roomful of scoundrels and thieves...She creates joy and mystery, elation and contemplation, love and loss, etc; and there's a deep vein of humor in all her work...It's a human carnival to me; and she does it with great style, panache and sensitivity. And Ute has told us about her struggles: Family loss, loss of children, illness, and so on. Her life has had many difficult chapters. To me, her art illustrates how she rises above those struggles as best she can---through her fiery, illuminated and wonderfully playful art. (The eye of an adult with the dance of a child.) I hope my images will remind her a little of her great sense of variation, light and dance. Ute: I'm very sorry for your condition; and I wish you total healing. Please know that you bring a treasure-trove of vision, play, mystery, and a child's wonder to all of us. I wish you lots of healing, rest and inspiration, and I give you many thanks for bringing all your light, joy and dance to this place: With all the challenge of life, you bring us a big, glowing star.
