There's a ton of stuff going on here. Looks like someone didn't get to enjoy their treasure.

Oh, this is great...all the little elements with their own story...the unlucky pirate, the pirate galleon off in the distance--are they looking for that dead pirate's treasure?, and then the lady in the cliff--she looks so weary of it all.

Wonderful imagination, Barb, surreal and touching at once. I love the 'lacrimosa' female ('lacrimosa dies illa', 'full of tears shall be the day') emerging out of the rock, and the powerful mix of the dead explorer with his empty chests in front of him, and a ship in the background---his? maybe a rescue ship who can't find him? maybe a passerby?---and a couple of lone gulls 'flying through', just flying through (like the medieval passage of the bird who flies through a castle and then flies away, never to be seen again). And you have a blasting sun, like the suns in medieval panels of christ, and deep blue darkness below---what an imagination you have. You really pack a lot into these images...and the rock is gray, craggy and mysterious. Primal haunting work, Barb. Amazing stuff comes out of you. Beautiful.

I think there is a giant medusa on the loose. Could be more bones if that ship comes ashore... :crossbones:
