Description
This is a re-post of the original with some corrections, notably the gun firing on the Haruna. I like the render and thought it was good enough to take the time to make some corrections and re-post.
The warship Haruna of the Imperial Japanese Navy was a Kongo class battlecruiser rebuilt with strengthened armour and more power and speed. It was also fitted with catapults in order to utilize the added advantage of floatplanes. Newly designated as a "fast battleship", the Haruna fought in every major battle in the Pacific War theater till the Japanese surrendered and it was sunk by aircraft of Task Force 38 in July of 1945, while moored at Kure Naval Base. For the mighty warrior that served in so many battles, being sunk while at its mooring was an ignominious end.
Haruna model is by Daniel T. free from warehouse3d and reworked and re-textured.
Kagero class destroyer by Sosai
IJN Akagi carrier from BeyondVR
Models prepped in C4d, PoserPro; composed, some texturing and texture adjustments, lighting, and rendered in Vie6Infinite; finished in Ps Cs3.

Almost all Japanese capital ships were sunk late in the war many in port. They were a priority for the Air Corp since they would be problem had Operation Olympia been implimented.

This is great! Really love what you've done here. Excellent render all the way around and great re-texturing and work to put it all together.

Very good work. Like the blast of the guns and the bow wave. Well made.
