Description

_______ It is not the first time I've uploaded photos from this neighbouring area, some miles away from my home town,known as the 'Mille-Étangs' (the One-Thousand Ponds area, in English!), it's one of my favourite destinations in Autumn, I enjoy taking a walk from pond to pond, in this hilly area which geologically belong to the Vosges mountains, in the east of France. Isolated farms and hamlets are hidden here and there amongst fir,oak and birch-trees, if you crave for silence and meditation, head for the 'Mille-Étangs'then !...

Awesome photo, most of what I know of France comes from C.S. Forester's Hornblower novels: He described the Loire river area as very beautiful!

I do know one song in French " Se bot sont faites pour marcher" ;)
