L'Harfang des neiges (Bubo scandiacus) est une espèce d'oiseau de la famille des strigidés. Il est aussi appelé ookpik par les Inuits. Il est l'emblème aviaire du Québec. En France, on l'appelle Chouette Harfang, même si en réalité il appartient au même genre Bubo que les hiboux grand-ducs. Comme ces derniers, il possède de petites plumes sur sa tête appelées aigrettes, mais très peu visibles puisqu'elles sont très petites et repliées sur sa tête. The Snowy Owl (Bubo scandiacus) is a species of bird of the strigidae family. It is also called ookpik by the Inuit. It is the bird emblem of Quebec. In France, it is called Chouette Harfang, even if in reality it belongs to the same genus Bubo as the owls. Like the latter, it has small feathers on its head called egrets, but very little visible since they are very small and folded over its head.
