Description

Goshen, Massachusetts: late October. Someone stayed with Mom while I got out for a few hours! Since this was taken, wind storms have blown away most leaves. Thanks for looking, your support means a lot.

viola...a picture of your fall...boy do I remember those hues. New England is a whole jewel of fall colors. This pov makes it look like you're in a vast open land, like Montana (ie, without a sign of human beings...I know Western Massachusetts is smaller than Montana! But when I was there, it still felt vast.)

Love your pov---down on the water. It looks like a marsh, or a shallow river. And I love how the trees just pop up and make a 'wall' back there. If this is what you see, it's beautiful. I'm glad your mom had a visitor, and I hope that happens whenever possible. As for the leaves disappearing in a huff: Some Novembers, I wanna go up to the trees and say, "now see here, bigshots!!!" (Real nerve. Fall should be forced, by law---by the constitution, in fact---to last for months. ((It should be the 4th Article of the Constitution, after the Judicial section: "Fall sticks around a lonnnnng time.")) Imagine going to friends or family wearing gorgeous clothes and scarves, and the next day? Rags. It's too fast!) Beautifully toned fall shot, Barb. Glad you could go out and soak it in.
