Description
This is for Jacomina's birthday (dochtersions).
In my patchwork-quilt efforts for my recent dedis---lappendeken, ja? (that's Dutch!)---I searched my old fractals, since Jacomina's a master of fractals. I came up with these motley little beasts. Soooooo...I played with them and added flowers---and voila! I got this crazy little fractal-flower thing, which is the closest I can come to imitating Jacomina's remarkable work.
All of you who know Jacomina know that she's struggled with health for a long time (she speaks of it openly in her gallery). You also know that, despite her struggles, she posts one extraordinary work-of-art after the next...I can't describe the breadth and depth of her fractals, not to mention her wonderful paintings and collages, or her beautiful photography. (Her photos are like fine wine.) I know she must still battle health each day, which makes me even more grateful for her incredible spirit and art...and I'm very grateful for her great kindness as well, and how she seems to dance on air with so much joy and insight, even as she struggles with her health.
So let me shout once again, thank you Jacomina, for the love you radiate here, and for your wildly creative and beautiful art! I wish you a great birthday and equal happiness for Christmas and New Year (Kerstmis en Nieuwjaar), and all the peace and inspiration in the world, which you wholly deserve. With love, blessings and lots of peace, and may your 2020 be wholly blessed! mark
(I'll get to all your galleries...I'm doing a few each day)

Flowers and fractals together. This is beautiful. The colors are complimentary and the shapes are soft. This is a beautiful dedication and a successful combination of images.

So many figures, so much fantasy, like a journey of discovery on the planet "Mark". This is impressive and magnificent, so versatile in all fragments with these very attractive Petunias in the middle. Oh, and when I read your words here, I get redder than the deepest colors of red in your fantastic fractal work. Above all, I feel the gratitude, the loving gesture of a special person and artist, who with all his soul and salvation can create things that touch someone in a very surprising and sensitive way. It's always talking, it has a lot to say, there are interfaces that appeal to, awaken something in the viewer.
Above all it tells a lot about you, dear Mark, everything seems to be intense in your works. It can even be intensely simple, with little to show. Here I enjoy the excess, how everything fits together, or what stands out. In this case for me those 2 beautiful flowers, it's like I get them from you, a real gift. So I could say: "Thank you, dear friend, I'm going to get a vase for this very quickly. And then ......, yes then I walk outside, * giggle * because it rains here that it pours. (cats and dogs, as you say) And then I find it so striking that I also see water in your fractal. It's in the middle of the sphere, exactly in the right place for those 2 beautiful flower sisters, with their open hearts. It's important that hearts are open, so another special message. I love your talking works because they all show a message. Is it up to the viewer to interpret that message in their own way, I think so, right?

Mark, I really did enjoy this warm and wonderful birthday dedication for Jacomina. Everything you said about her is true, including how she is one of those rare people who is able to show care and concern for others despite dealing with health issues herself.

There was a show in the 70's called Logan's Run. I think it looks like the swirling art decorating some of the sets. Cool.

Top notch dedi for your friend, Mark. Suggestive of observing colorful flora through a telescope.
