A splendid sky as a background to this majestic and gorgeous forest under a film of snow ! I am waiting for more snow in this part of the country also, traditionally white with snow in January, but so far, we only have drizzle and mild weather, alas ! Anyhow, .....

this is a winter shot if ever there was one...3 simple layers, cold water (and if it isn't frozen, it looks like it is; beautiful capture of glass-like, quiet water), beautiful forest covered with 'powdered sugar'---what I used to call snow, as a child---and that deep restful blue sky, with not a thing within it to distract from its wintry canopy. The forest is amazing: A flat expanse, all frosted, with patches of beautiful deep reds and touches of green. Lots of detail too. A very peaceful capture, it really feels like winter, and it has that magic that winter brings, that lifts the cold and "stay away" vibe into a kind of fairy tale dance. I wish you a wonderful new year too, Barb, with light and radiance for 2020, and thank you once again for being such a loving positive force here, and a wonderful friend, not to mention a wonderful creative artist. (Did I read that you had dental work? In some comment somewhere? If you did, I hope you're ok now, or getting better. You know they call dental pain "exquisite pain"? I learned that from a dentist. So if you had that work done, and had that pain, all the best on moving past it! And I hope you don't need more again!) I love this shot. It's winter through and through. Happy 2020!
